**Procurement Category Management Role**

We are seeking a seasoned procurement professional to join our team as a Procurement Category Manager. In this role, you will play a critical part in evolving our procurement function into a strategic driver of end-to-end business value.


About the Role:
  1. Create and Deliver Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute the sourcing strategy for assigned category including analyzing market trends, identifying market developments, and conducting category reviews to drive business understanding of these markets.
  2. Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Execution: Lead sourcing initiatives including RFX processes, negotiations, supplier selection, contracting, and implementation.
  3. Business Partnership: Act as a strategic business partner—proactively engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to influence decisions, support innovation, and unlock end-to-end value.
  4. Market Intelligence & Risk Management: Build strong understanding of market dynamics, commodity/cost drivers, inflation trends, and supply risks.
  5. Cost & Value Optimisation: Champion the total cost of assigned categories by identifying and implementing novel and creative ways to reduce costs, improve quality, enhance innovation, and improve total value for money.
  6. P&L Ownership: Actively manage the spend area's P&L, including ownership of the annual operating plan and regular forecast updates.

About You:
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a similar category management role, specifically in indirect corporate and commercial services.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of sourcing and contracting processes.
  • Cross-Functional Engagement: Demonstrated ability to influence and engage cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Commercial Acumen: Commercial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Project Management: Strong project management and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
