Job Opportunity

The Community Engagement Officer plays a pivotal role in strengthening the connection between Gymnastics Victoria and its member clubs. This position is responsible for delivering key operational, administrative, and engagement services that support technical member education and training, club development, membership growth, and quality program delivery aligned with strategic objectives.

This role involves streamlining administrative processes, fostering club capability, promoting inclusive and child-safe practices, and increasing community visibility. By doing so, it helps create a more connected, professional, and sustainable gymnastics ecosystem across Victoria, characterised by a strong culture and valued service.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences and provide top-notch service.
  • Build strong relationships with members, actively listen to feedback, and respond promptly.
  • Share information, collaborate, and focus on mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Drive improvements to increase value for the organisation and members.
  • Contribute to revenue generation and effective resource use.
  • Commit to ongoing learning, development, and feedback.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will require experience in gymnastics, sport, or member/community organisations. You should possess strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and people management abilities, high attention to detail and accuracy, collaborative and proactive team player skills, excellent organisational, time management, and project management experience, proficiency in MS Office and confident use of IT/CRM platforms, a calm solution-focused approach under pressure, and a current and valid Working with Children Check.

You will be responsible for delivering a range of services, including policy navigation, compliance, capability self-audits, and development plans.
