Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer plays a vital role in leading ASIC's Finance function, responsible for providing strategic advice, driving financial strategy, and overseeing financial operations.

This includes:

  • Providing expert financial guidance to diverse stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing long-term financial strategies to support business groups.
  • Overseeing financial operations, including unclaimed money responsibilities.
  • Leading statutory financial reporting and financial framework functions.
  • Preparing ASIC's annual budget.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and operating strategically across the business. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and leadership abilities are essential.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence large, high-performing teams in complex environments.
  • Considerable experience in direct management of large teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record operating at senior executive level, having managed complex finance functions within the public sector.
  • Ability to operate strategically across the business, with strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and leadership abilities.
