Job Title:
Commercial & Financial Analyst

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a commercial and financial analyst. This role involves working with our clients to solve complex problems related to financial management, pricing, data modeling, and statistical analysis.



Responsibilities:
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and market comparisons
  • Review the total cost of ICT and identify optimisation opportunities
  • Conduct financial analysis, modeling, and consulting on the end-to-end costing of ICT projects and systems implementation
  • Develop complex models to support supplier evaluations, negotiations, and scenario modeling
  • Provide assurance over financial models and improve financial processes and governance
  • Develop statistical and financial data models, perform analysis and visualisation, and translate data into insights that support commercial and investment decisions


Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience for Consultant level, at least 5 years' experience for Manager level, and at least 8 years' experience for Senior Manager level in an internal or external consulting environment or technology supplier focusing on financial management, commercial modeling, and business analysis
  • Understanding of technology finance and/or pricing mechanisms
  • Superior communication and time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to handle large volumes of data and translate it to digestible information for senior stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel modeling (including Power Query) and PowerPoint skills
  • Data visualization skills using tools such as Power BI
  • Experience with Python and/or Python-in-Excel
  • Undergraduate degree in one of the following disciplines: Finance, Business Management/Commerce, Information Technology, Actuarial/Statistics, Computer/Data Science, Economics, or Engineering
  • CA or CPA qualifications are highly desirable
  • Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance
