We are seeking a dedicated leader to support individuals with disabilities and foster positive change in their lives.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced problem-solving skills, confidence, and emotional intelligence to resolve complex situations effectively.

They will have the ability to interact positively at all levels, including working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

A demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and performance manage a team within a dynamic and fast-paced environment is also essential.

The successful candidate will have effective conflict resolution skills, negotiation, mediation, and decision-making skills paired with exceptional interpersonal skills.

They will be able to build a cohesive team with clarity around goals and accountabilities.

A leadership style that fosters innovative, creative, and collaborative practices will be highly valued.

Certificate IV or Diploma in Disability Services, Community Services, Children's Services or similar field is preferred; or identify as Aboriginal and be willing to work towards a relevant qualification.

Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, behaviours of concern and mental health concerns is highly regarded.

About this role

As a Children Services Team Leader, you will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality support services to children and young people with complex needs.

You will partner with children and young people diagnosed with a disability and/or complex behaviour needs to achieve their goals and live life on their own terms.

Responsible for ensuring the children and young people you support receive quality care with dignity and respect from a team of support workers you will lead, mentor and supervise.

Key requirements

Current NSW Driver's licence
Obtain and maintain a current paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Obtain and maintain a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC)
Willingness to undertake a pre-employment police check
Current First Aid and CPR Certification
