Field Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and providing technical support to our clients.

About the Role:

  • Provide on-site technical support for mobile units and explosive delivery equipment
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs in the field
  • Assist with calibration, system checks, and operational readiness of mobile units
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in remote environments
  • Complete and submit service reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation
  • Support the commissioning and decommissioning of field equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with blasting teams and site supervisors to ensure equipment availability
  • Promote and adhere to safety protocols and compliance standards

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in mechanical, automotive or diesel fitting
  • Experience in mobile equipment servicing or field-based technical support
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability in hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Current manual driver's licence (HR licence desirable or willingness to obtain)
  • Familiarity with explosive delivery systems (MPUs) is advantageous
  • Sound understanding of safety and environmental protocols in mining or industrial sites
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or in small teams
  • A current Queensland Explosives Security Clearance or the ability to obtain
  • A can-do attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Physical fitness and readiness for demanding work
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
