Legacy Application Migration Specialist

About the Role:

The Mainframe Tech Analyst will combine deep technical expertise with analytical capabilities to support the stability, optimization, and strategic decommissioning of legacy applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage Legacy Knowledge: Analyze and document legacy applications, maintain application performance, reliability, and security, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate curiosity and a proactive approach to understanding application functionality and technical constraints, interpret requirements and translate them into actionable technical outcomes.
  • Migrate to Modern Platforms: Support the migration of legacy applications to modern platforms and technologies, participate in planning and execution of migration activities, including data mapping, testing, and cutover strategies.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in mainframe technologies, COBOL programming, and older databases.
