Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our team at our Maddington branch. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring effective contract administration across a diverse range of projects throughout Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Administration: Administer contracts from a technical, commercial, and contractual perspective, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements for projects up to $3 million.
- Commercial Advice: Provide commercial advice and support to the project team, ensuring compliance with commercial requirements set out in subcontracts, consultant agreements, quality management systems, policies, guidelines, and project-specific procedures.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure that contractors and principals comply with their respective contractual obligations.
- Dispute Resolution: Facilitate the resolution of technical and commercial contract administration matters.
- Tender Preparation: Provide contract administration advice and support in the preparation of tender documents, as required by the Contract department.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to efficiently deliver projects.
- Site Visits: Attend worksite visits for progress meetings and site inspections.
- Progress Meetings: Lead progress meetings with contractors and ensure that project HSEQ procedures are communicated, understood, and followed.
- Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Law, or equivalent are preferred.
- Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in a contracting construction environment is essential.
- Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to interpret and apply contracts, including payment claims.
- Project Experience: Experience with large construction projects, as well as local project exposure, is desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail is required.
- Microsoft Office: Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office is essential.
- Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal English communication skills are mandatory.
