About This PositionThe Rural Generalist Program offers a unique opportunity for new graduate physiotherapists to acquire diverse clinical expertise. Working across various teams and clinical settings, from acute hospital care to community and outreach services, you will be able to build upon your knowledge and experiences, becoming a well-rounded professional with sought-after skills.
This is a two-year program designed to provide extensive support for early-career physiotherapists. The Rural Generalist Program features regular clinical supervision and mentoring opportunities, ensuring that participants receive the guidance they need to excel in their roles. You will also benefit from dedicated time for professional development, including monthly journal clubs and multidisciplinary education sessions. Additionally, you will have the chance to implement a Quality Improvement Project, with support from senior staff to complete this.
Throughout your journey, you will have access to ongoing support from local physiotherapy supervisors, as well as regular catch-ups with the Program Coordinator. Whether working in a large regional hospital or a rural Multi-Purpose Service, it's all about the team you work with. This program helps you build strong connections with local networks and learn from highly-skilled Allied Health teams.
