Marine Tradesperson Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Marine Tradesperson to join our Cairns-based maintenance team. The successful candidate will have a trade qualification (Cert III or higher) and proven experience in the marine industry.

About the Role:
  • This is a unique opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to work on maintaining and supporting our fleet of commercial passenger vessels operating daily to the Great Barrier Reef.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, fabrication, installation and maintenance of vessel systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The role involves inspecting, repairing and upkeep of our fleet and marine infrastructure.
  • The successful candidate will support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our vessels.
  • The position requires a varied work environment, both shore-based and offshore on the Great Barrier Reef.

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualifications (Cert III or higher).
  • Proven experience in your trade, preferably within the marine industry.
  • Ability to assess a job, develop a plan and see it through independently.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
  • A strong team mindset but equally confident working unsupervised.
