We are seeking a strategic leader to join our fresh produce team. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role that requires strong internal and external relationship-building skills.

About the Team:

Our team is responsible for delivering a compelling fresh produce offer for our customers. We work closely with suppliers, category managers, and state buyers to ensure excellent execution of our plans.

About the Role:

This role involves leading tactical trade driving plans while developing longer-term strategic plans. You will manage financials, drive decision-making, and support the national and state teams in achieving targets with a customer focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with growers and suppliers to develop high-quality products and services
  • Build seasonal commitments by product with growers/suppliers
  • Ensure amazing store availability through collaboration with state-based buyers and suppliers
  • Determine effective promotional offers that meet commercial objectives
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach while problem-solving and managing supply across the nation
  • Travel within Australia to visit top growers and support the execution of major projects

About You and Your Skills:

In this role, you will leverage your experience in market share gaps and implement a market-leading plan. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential for success.

You will also have:

  • Current experience in buying (graduate experience included)
  • Proven experience in retail management
  • Strong communication skills for varied stakeholders
  • Developed problem-solving and innovative thinking skills
  • The ability to learn at pace and a passion for continuous improvement
