Cyber Security Analyst Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a vital role in detecting, containing, remediating, and preventing security incidents affecting our corporate IT infrastructure, applications, data, and users.

Daily Tasks:
  • Monitor security solutions including Tenable Security Centre, LogRhythm, Cisco Umbrella, etc.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and advise on remediation strategies.
  • Evaluate the impact of security bulletins from AUSCert, SANS, vendors, etc.
  • Identify and report breaches and potential intrusion incidents.
  • Proactively utilize cyber threat information, skills, and intuition to detect security threats.
  • Respond to business security inquiries escalated from the frontline via the Cyber Threat desk.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a comprehensive Security Threat Framework for all internal assets.
  • Implement preventive and corrective counter-measures against cyber-threats.
  • Analyze security breaches to determine root cause.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 Years' experience in a Cyber Security role.
  • Understanding of cyber security issues such as computer intrusions, malicious code, phishing, and SPAM.
  • Good understanding of System Administration of standard Windows infrastructure and processes to troubleshoot incidents.
  • Good understanding of threat actors Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP's) and how these relate to our environment.
  • LogRhythm and Sentinel experience.
