We are seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounts Specialist to join our team at Abra Mining Pty Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely administration of our payroll, maintenance of staff records, and compliance with statutory reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process monthly payroll for 100+ employees and post payrun.
  • Calculate and pay superannuation and payroll tax.
  • Process all payroll calculations, including overtime, salary increases, redundancy, bonuses, and terminations.
  • Maintain employee records and respond to payroll queries in a timely manner.
  • Manage Centrelink Paid Parental Leave payments and Workers Compensation payments.
  • Ensure pay runs are calculated in accordance with relevant awards/Enterprise Agreement rates, allowances, and higher duties changes.
  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll systems and procedures.
  • Assist with monthly reporting and additional tasks or projects as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the resources industry.
  • Pronto payroll user experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all aspects of pay calculations and experience with managing PAYG, Payroll Tax, and Superannuation.
  • High level of confidentiality and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously and respond to work with urgency as required.
