Job Title: Data Scientist and Data Manager, PACOP

Job Summary:

The University of Wollongong is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist and Data Manager to join the Palliative Aged Care Outcomes Program (PACOP) team. As a key member of the PACOP team, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets to improve the outcomes of Australians in aged care homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the PACOP dataset, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Analyze and report on resident, family, and carer outcomes data to inform quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the PACOP data team in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to improve aged care outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree with a strong mathematical/statistical component, preferably at postgraduate level.
  • Demonstrated experience in data management, project management, and data analysis and modeling with large datasets using SAS and R.
  • Experience with automated workflows and integrating statistical results into other environments.
  • Broad understanding of the Australian health and/or aged care systems.
