Job Title:

A Secondary School VET Leader is a key position in our faculty, responsible for leading excellence in pedagogical, curriculum and assessment practices.

This role requires a strong educational background and experience in VET course management, teaching and learning. The successful candidate will lead the development of innovative, evidence-based real-world learning practices across the curriculum specialty.

  • Leadership Role: Lead schoolwide excellence in pedagogical, curriculum and assessment practices
  • Syllabus Compliance: Ensure compliance with NSW Education Standards Authority and Australian Government requirements for syllabus interpretation and implementation, programming, assessment, reporting and evaluation for each VET course
  • Teaching and Learning: Demonstrating and leading exemplary, innovative and evidence-based real-world learning practice in selecting, organising and evaluating the content and delivering learning and teaching programs in the curriculum specialty
  • Student Performance: Tracking student performance within the faculty and ensuring that effective assessment, responsiveness to data, timely feedback and differentiation are embedded within teaching programs and practices
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with the Leader of Pathways and Partnerships to establish external partnerships that support the learning of VET and working together with other instructional leaders to ensure cooperative practices and effective alignment in common areas
