Project Coordinator

CSIRO is committed to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge, voices, and leadership into national research infrastructure and environmental science.

This position will provide high-level coordination, administrative, and project support for a national Indigenous Science initiative within biodiversity and digital infrastructure platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project activities across all stages of the Indigenous Science initiative.
  • Support reference and advisory groups to ensure effective collaboration with Indigenous communities, Elders, and organisations.
  • Build relationships with Indigenous communities, Elders, and organisations to promote culturally appropriate data practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience in project coordination or administrative support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine interest in Indigenous knowledge systems, cultural engagement, and Indigenous-led science.
  • Ability to work in project governance structures.
