The Department's Statewide Service Division is committed to delivering tiered and connected services and support to schools that are aligned with system strategies and priorities.
Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
The Role
The Principal Project Officer will support the delivery of a range of identified projects and initiates, identified by the Statewide Services leadership team. In this role, you will provide project management expertise, high-level planning and effectively capture complex information to support the delivery of outcomes.
As the Principal Project Officer you will prepare high-level briefings, research and discussion papers for presentation while applying your well-developed communication and interpersonal skills consulting and negotiating with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and support the implementation of related strategies and initiatives.
The position reports formally to the Project Support Manager, and forms part of the Service Design and Support Directorate. Noting that, operationally depending on project and initiative deliverables there is accountability to other senior officers.
Note, the position will be required to have a dual location of Padbury and East Perth, pending operational need and project deliverables. Work location flexibility is highly desirable.
