Leading a Home Loan Broker Sales team, you will report to the State Manager within our Banking division.

We seek an experienced professional with strong leadership and sales management skills, as well as home loan product knowledge, to join our high performing leadership team.

This role encompasses oversight of VIC/TAS Home Loan Business Development Management teams, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience through a relationship centric culture.

You'll be part of a supportive team where everyone contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the State Manager to manage the State team effectively and achieve market share objectives.
  • Leading, coaching and developing Business Development Managers, fostering a high-performance culture that celebrates success, supports learning and growth.
  • Ensuring Business Development Managers are accountable for sales and quality outcomes through portfolio and pipeline management.
  • Developing relationships with existing and new brokers, ensuring loan quality and risk management meet expectations.
  • Maintaining awareness of competitors' strengths/weaknesses, product offerings and pricing information.
  • Providing professional guidance to brokers, educating and improving performance and customer experience.
  • Participating in strategic projects, stakeholder engagement and key priorities within the business.
  • Relieving the State Manager during vacations and collaborating with the leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills, motivating a team, communicating expectations and developing capability.
  • Excellent industry knowledge of Australia's home loan broker market, home loan products and credit policies.
  • Established relationships in the home loan broker market, including with Aggregators at their State Manager level.
  • Proven experience building internal and external relationships.
  • Proven track record managing business pressures and customer expectations.
  • Ability to identify and drive data-based decisions, deliver continuous improvement and transformational initiatives.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and commercial mindset.
  • Experience managing changes in a fast-moving environment, using Agile ways of working.
  • Excellent communication skills, presenting to large audiences.
