Quality Assurance Specialist

The Role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and analyses proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements to ensure quality involvement in program development.
  • Develops and maintains quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
  • Analyses process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root causes of problems. Collaborates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation.
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyses performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability.
  • Conducts quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements and supports business decisions. Develops coordinated responses for management review and approval.
  • Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements. Reports results to management.
  • Analyses data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
    5+ years' experience with Quality Management System, tertiary level engineering, aviation, quality management or equivalent qualification and/or commensurate level of professional knowledge and experience.
    Hands-on mentality with the ability to proactively and independently resolve issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively engage, communicate with and influence Senior and Executive level stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and time manage in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to coach, develop and encourage team members' personal and professional development.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Australian Citizenship to ensure you have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence clearance.
