This position involves working on the Landmark Water Security Project in NSW, which entails the construction and upgrade of three major pump stations across Nyngan and Hermidale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement cost-effective construction strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor project finances, assess costs against budgets, and highlight margin impacts.
  • Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and teams to resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.
  • Understand project scope and identify contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare variations, claims, and subcontract agreements.
  • Plan procurement activities, coordinate labor and equipment for supervisors.
  • Ensure materials and services meet quality assurance requirements.
  • Develop inspection test plans/ITPs, monitor quality plans, and ensure compliance.
  • Assess risks, implement hazard controls, and support incident investigations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through pre-starts and toolbox talks.
  • Review Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) and environmental procedures before work begins.
  • Maintain quality assurance documentation, manage project closeout, and finalize defect claims.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Project Engineering within the Construction Industry, preferably in Civil, Utilities, and Water Infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.
  • Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Pass a pre-employment medical examination and drug testing.
