Job Summary">

The Learning and Development Manager plays a pivotal role in leading, guiding, and promoting training, development, and educational programs across the organization.

This position is responsible for all aspects of education, training, and capability development, ensuring staff have the skills, knowledge, and attributes to provide compassionate and holistic care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide subject matter expertise and influence the identification and facilitation of specific training/education needs, in conjunction with relevant parties.
  • Coordinate and evaluate Whole of Hospital internal and external education programs to ensure hospital requirements are met.
  • Lead and mentor the Nurse Education Team, developing strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Lead nursing workforce activities, including GradStart, School Based Trainees, and ClinConnect.
  • Report mandatory training statistics to Human Resources Manager, Hospital Management Committee, and Calvary National Learning and Development Team.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA and post-registration nursing and/or education qualification relevant to clinical area.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of education programs and learning solutions for a facility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current clinical practice in an acute care facility with a commitment to ongoing self-development.
  • Sound understanding of educational quality standards with demonstrated analytical and critical thinking ability.
  • Demonstrated competence in the use of complex software programs and learning management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through highly developed interpersonal and coaching skills.
