The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Finance Partner to join our Northern Operations team. This key role will involve delivering comprehensive management reporting, ensuring financial data integrity, and driving business performance. As a member of our Finance team, you will play a vital part in shaping our organisation's financial strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare standardised monthly financial reports, annual budgets, forecasting, scenario analysis, and provide support for consolidated Company board reporting in relation to Northern Operations & Flight Operations.
  • Review monthly financial performance against key contracts and prepare accurate and timely commentary against budget or forecast for senior management to highlight emerging trends and provide insights on key performance drivers.
  • Evaluate all potential risks and opportunities and quantify them effectively.
  • Ensure the timely preparation of required monthly journals, including accruals for Northern Operations & Flight Operations.
  • Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations and address any reconciling items appropriately.
  • Provide financial support for day-to-day business operations, including investigation, analysis, and ad hoc reporting as required relating to Northern Operations & Flight Operations.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis of proposals and business cases to assess their financial viability and identify potential opportunities for cost savings.
  • Oversee the raising of all customer invoicing for key revenue contracts in Northern Operations and follow up as necessary.
  • Partner with stakeholders to offer valuable support and guidance.
  • Assist in the external audit process by liaising with auditors and providing clear and accurate support/analysis when required.
  • Collaborate on inputs relating to Northern Operations & Flight Operations for the preparation of weekly/monthly cashflow forecasts.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' postgraduate experience in business planning and commercial analysis within mid to large organisations, preferably in operations.
  • An undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in similar roles with strong commercial acumen, analytical, and business partnering skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced Excel and system skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication tailored to the audience.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan workload while being flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Effective communication with people at all levels (internal and external) and influencing stakeholders.
  • A high degree of professional integrity, proactive attitude, demonstrates initiative, and willingness to learn.

  • A competitive salary range between $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
