Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Sports Turf Manager to join our team at Mtesa. As a Trainee Sports Turf Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of sports fields, including golf courses, bowling greens, cricket clubs, football grounds, and tennis clubs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the repair and restoration of damaged sports fields
  • Regulate pest control and maintain a healthy turf environment
  • Schedule field use and oversee a maintenance crew
  • Maintain and operate turf maintenance equipment, including mowers, aerators, and fertilizers
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure high-quality customer service

Requirements

  • Passion for working with tools and hands-on activities
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Good physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Driver's license and ability to travel to various sports fields
