About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our Cooper Oil Subsurface team. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your expertise to provide technical support, generate new drilling inventory, and conceptualize field development planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide reservoir engineering technical support to the Cooper Subsurface team to deliver new drilling opportunities.
- Ensure all subsurface technical work is appropriately assured through formal and informal technical reviews.
- Provide operational support for drilling wells, including monitoring drilling results and assisting with operational recommendations.
- Support the YE Reserves process and complete end-of-well lookbacks.
- Document and report work at both working and stakeholder engagement levels.
- Stay up-to-date with new technology and develop, justify, and implement the use of new and innovative technology/software.
We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced reservoir engineer with a proven track record of working in multi-disciplinary teams. You should have a passion for mentoring junior staff and a strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely to stakeholders and management.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:- 10+ years' experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary subsurface teams generating drilling opportunities.
- Experience in resources assessments, formulating, documenting, and presenting to resource certifiers.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to stakeholders and management.
- Proven self-starter and self-guided, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with key stakeholders.
- Degree-qualified subsurface professional (petroleum/reservoir engineering).
- Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) or working towards becoming registered.
