Job Summary

The Team Leader Ageing and Disability Reform, Business Support Unit is responsible for overseeing the management and support of the Ageing and Disability Business Support Unit functions. The Business Support Unit provides centralized aged care and disability business support to regional Local Health Networks (LHNs), ensuring effective and efficient Commonwealth Aged Care program delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective and efficient coordination and administration of the Business Support Unit (BSU) within the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the six Regional LHNs.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the BSU team, including performance management, training requirements, claims management, and LHN team support and training.
  • Collaborate with Digital Health for eclaiming and other required system and portal integration and upgrade management.
  • Develop and implement a quality assurance program to ensure data submissions, legislative compliance, and reporting processes meet the required standards.
  • Work closely with Regional LHN teams to enhance the consumer experience and quality of service when accessing Commonwealth-funded aged or disability care services.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in business operations, team leadership, and aged care or disability services.
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth Aged Care program legislation and compliance parameters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of digital health systems and eclaiming processes.
