Electrical Estimator Job

The primary role of an electrical estimator is to calculate the costs associated with a project, including labor, materials, and equipment. This requires analyzing project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine electrical requirements. Electrical estimators must possess strong analytical skills, knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to interpret technical documents accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine electrical requirements.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for clients.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, builders, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate bid submissions.
  • Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, materials, and construction methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
