Packhouse Maintenance Expert

We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to join our dynamic Citrus team as a Packhouse Maintenance Expert. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee a small team to ensure the seamless operation of our packing facilities through preventative and reactive maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Oversight of plant checks, management of repairs and equipment upgrades, and maintenance of stock inventories while ensuring a streamlined approach to procurement and record-keeping.
  • Arrange and manage contractors, support new projects from scheduling to delivery, and contribute to cost forecasting.

During peak seasons, you will share on-call duties and Saturday work with other maintenance staff to ensure seamless operations. This role requires a proactive approach to continuous improvement, team collaboration, and maintaining operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (preferred) or alternative relevant trade qualification.
  • At least 4 years in a similar role, with demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to plan and manage workforce activities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
