Acute Community Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Acute Mental Health Clinician. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse individuals, providing mental health triage and assessments, short-term treatment, and case management in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Mental health triage and assessments for consumers within the community experiencing acute mental health problems.
- Mental health assessments in a hospital setting.
- Short-term mental health treatment in the community, including care coordination and longer-term case management as clinically indicated.
- Collaborative care planning for consumers transferring between hospital and community, follow-up support and onward referrals where appropriate.
- Brief therapeutic interventions for Personality Disorders.
- Working in a multidisciplinary team across a 7-day rotating roster with morning and afternoon shifts.

What We're Looking For- AHPRA registration or eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Workers.
- Demonstrated experience in mental health assessment and crisis intervention.
- Experience in suicide risk assessment and management.
- Knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act.
- Case management/care coordination skills.
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
- New South Wales Driver's licence.
- Proficiency with data systems and/or Microsoft Office Word.
This position requires immunization and screening for certain diseases. The full requirements are outlined in the relevant policy. You will be required to complete the relevant undertaking/declaration form and TB assessment tool during the recruitment process.
