
Acute Community Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled mental health professional to provide acute care services within our community.
The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting mental health assessments and providing short-term treatment in the community, including care coordination and longer-term case management as clinically indicated.
- Mental health assessments and crisis intervention.
- Short-term mental health treatment in the community.
- Collaborative care planning for consumers transferring between hospital and community.
- Brief therapeutic interventions.
The ideal candidate will have experience and skills in suicide risk assessment and management, community mental health, and knowledge of relevant legislation.
They will also possess extensive case management/care coordination skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
In addition, they will have current registration with the relevant health profession or eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated mental health assessment and crisis intervention experience.
- Experience in community mental health and knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Extensive case management/care coordination skills.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current driver's licence.
- Proficiency with data systems and/or Microsoft Office Word.
