Leadership Role in Rail Engineering

This senior position involves overseeing all aspects of rail engineering, including strategy, design, construction, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership and technical expertise, with experience in managing complex projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance and resources to support the organisation's asset management goals.
  • Lead and deliver commercial contracts and supply chain services, focusing on performance planning, contract management, and commercial acumen.
  • Ensure safety and integrity through provision of design, engineering, and technical assurance services.
  • Lead safe, reliable, and competitive fleet maintenance services, including cleanliness and operational readiness.
  • Deliver large-scale maintenance, renewal, and enhancements on railway assets.
About You

You are an experienced executive leader with a strong track record in engineering and/or maintenance fields. You have demonstrated leadership skills in a senior role, preferably with a rail or engineering background.

You bring proven experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams and with other executive leaders. You have experience leading engineers and technical experts, challenging when necessary.

You have a strong background developing, leading, and driving engineering frameworks and systems across a diverse organisation.

You are skilled at building relationships and dealing with stakeholders at all levels, able to articulate complex concepts and present compelling arguments.

You bring experience leading team maturity and navigating change and cultural reform.
