Barminco, a global mining services company, offers career opportunities in underground mining. As an Injury Management Coordinator, you will play a vital role in our proactive health and safety approach.

About the Role

You will oversee injury management at Barminco, ensuring compliance with state legislation and effective claims processing. This includes coordinating return-to-work policies, serving as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, and collaborating with internal partners to provide guidance on injury management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of injury and claims management at Barminco
  • Coordinate and monitor injury management in line with return-to-work policies
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on workers' compensation claims
  • Collaborate with the HSE&T team and internal partners to provide expert guidance on injury management strategies
  • Maintain accurate injury management records and ensure the Injury Management database is current
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and medical interventions for remote site injuries
  • Stay informed of legislative changes and best practices in injury management
  • Travel to remote mine sites to meet with stakeholders, deliver training, and provide coaching on Injury Management and Health Awareness
Skills, Experience and Attributes

This role requires a strong understanding of workplace injury management, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in this field. Key skills include specialist knowledge of injury management databases, stakeholder engagement, analytical skills, professionalism, and time and case management.

A formal qualification in Allied Health or a related field is preferred, but not essential. The ability to travel to remote mine sites is also required.
