What we offer

As a Research and Development Projects Lead, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced team to develop innovative products and processes. You will be responsible for managing and carrying out new product development and current product improvement projects, providing technical input, and contributing to product and process improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and carry out new product development and current product improvement projects
  • Provide technical input and contribute to product and process improvement initiatives
  • Review production documentation for accuracy
  • Research scientific principles related to our field of work
  • Develop innovative product concepts and processes
  • Manage a functional research and development laboratory
  • Establish and nurture key stakeholder relationships
  • Track and metrics of NPD trials and projects

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in a Science or related discipline
  • 2-5 years of experience in product development of complementary medicines, confectionary, and nutraceuticals products and process development
  • Technical ability and understanding in non-sterile solid dosage formats
  • Product development processes from ideation to implementation
  • Managing research and development aspects of projects
  • Working knowledge and ability to interpret the Australian code of GMP
  • A strong awareness of and commitment to safety management
  • Time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced working level with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MRP, and/or ERP systems
  • High level of attention to detail, initiative, and strong work ethics
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organisation from shop floor to senior management
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

What we're looking for

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Research and Development Projects Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of hands-on experience in consumer foods/nutraceuticals product development, excellent communication abilities in both written and verbal English, and a 'can-do' attitude. They must be extremely reliable and punctual, present excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work under pressure.
