Seeking a Governance and Controls Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Governance and Controls Specialist to join our team.

The role requires establishing controls to ensure scope and program schedule is effectively managed, including change management and decision-making processes for use and schedule contingency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with corporate governance, including committees and project control groups
  • Mobilise governance committees and project control groups
  • Support the Infrastructure Division with re-mobilising technical working groups for engagement with external stakeholders regarding corridor bus stops and bus priority measures
  • Formalise a technical working group to support the delivery of the WSI interchange and layover involving WSACo and DITRC
  • Re-mobilise the City Deal WSRB Project Steering Committee to ensure executive level representatives from Councils, WSACo and WSPA are engaged in the project process
  • Ensure integration with the project governance of other dependent TfNSW projects, including the Zero Emission Bus Project, Bus Procurement Project and other road upgrade projects
  • Prepare and develop presentation packs for stakeholders groups (extensive experience in power point presentation)
  • Establish clear project control approach to forward plan governance meetings, ensuring appropriate levels of executive oversight and technical delivery is prioritising delivery based on the timing for key governance decisions
  • Implement effective change management controls to manage and schedule contingency

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Day-to-day operation of program offices, governance secretariat duties, risk/schedule management, frameworks, health checks and assurance
  • Stakeholder coordination of delivery teams, both government and private sector, to provide relevant and timely inputs for the Alliance project agreement and proposals
  • Design and implementation of the provisional governance and transition operational model
  • Fortnightly schedule, risk & issue reporting, including development and maintenance of reporting dashboards for both the transaction and ongoing project delivery
  • Governance secretariat function for the management team and leadership team, including coordination and development of papers, minutes, actions and stakeholder communication on behalf of leadership and management team where required
