Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to play a key role in commissioning critical water infrastructure assets.


About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems for major water infrastructure projects, overseeing all stages from pre-commissioning to process commissioning.


  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, managing, and maintaining commissioning documentation, including O&Ms, ITPs, ITCs, SOPs, and other required materials.
  • They will coordinate safety and design reviews (HAZOP, CHAZOP, CHAIR), provide technical input, and ensure adherence to commissioning SWMS and safety protocols.
  • The Commissioning Engineer will supervise installation and construction activities, identify defects, and ensure timely rectification while verifying instrumentation, SCADA integration, VSD configuration, alarms, and system performance.
  • They will develop and execute cutover and seeding plans, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure seamless system integration, optimal performance, and smooth handover to operations.
  • Providing training and operational support to staff to ensure safe and efficient operation of commissioned assets is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:


  • Hands-on experience commissioning water or wastewater infrastructure assets, including mechanical and electrical systems, SCADA, instrumentation, alarms, and process interlocks.
  • A proven ability to generate, manage, and maintain commissioning documentation such as O&Ms, ITCs, ITPs, and SOPs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve commissioning challenges, ensuring seamless system integration and compliance with relevant requirements and safety standards.
  • A collaborative mindset with experience training and supporting operations teams during asset handover.
  • A commitment to long-term engagement and growth within a stable project and business environment.
