About the Role

Moffat, a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of innovative cooking, baking, and meal distribution products, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to drive its financial strategy and support its global operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and direct the group's financial and administrative activities, ensuring profitability and expansion through effective operational procedures.
  • Plan and manage the group's financial operations, including the collection of financial information, budget preparation, forecasts, and consolidated financial reports.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor financial accounting systems and related processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate proposals involving expenditure and the financial status of operational projects to ensure sound financial decisions.
  • Oversee key financial activities such as taxation, credit policy, cash flow management, investment policy, inventory, costing, expense control, and insurance arrangements.
  • Provide management with guidance on business planning, forecasting techniques, and major capital expenditures to align with corporate goals.
  • Act as the primary liaison with bankers, legal advisers, insurance brokers, and other stakeholders.
  • Make critical policy decisions, oversee operations, achieve targets, and ensure adherence to budgets, standards, and procedures.
  • Assess the operating results of subsidiary companies, divisions, and investments in relation to budget objectives and corporate plans.
  • Maintain strong connections with key customers, industry associations, and government representatives to foster relationships and stay informed on industry trends.
  • Mentor and develop your team, inspiring a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Provide thought leadership, anticipating future business needs, and act as a change agent in driving initiatives.
Requirements
  • CA or CPA qualified, with proven experience as a CFO and a demonstrated ability to lead financial strategy and operations.
  • Extensive knowledge in foreign exchange, financial planning, risk management, and operational oversight.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a track record of data-driven decision-making and strategic financial planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and team members.
  • Experience working with SAP and EPM reporting systems is highly regarded, as is the ability to use the Microsoft suite.
