Role Summary

This is a unique opportunity to work in an ongoing part-time position that commences on 1 January 2026. As a First Nations Educator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the learning environment and journey of all students, particularly those from indigenous backgrounds.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced educator who can build strong relationships with our students, families, and community partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the school's Child Focused, Christ Centred approach to education.

The role involves working collaboratively as a team member, partnering with our First Nations Playgroup, Moort Waabiny, and leading the planning and organisation of NAIDOC celebrations. You will also contribute to the Transforming Lives Strategy 2025 by building cultural competency and supporting students in expressing their identity, culture, and connections to Country and family.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality educational programs.
  • Develop and implement culturally responsive teaching strategies to enhance student outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers to promote student engagement and success.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess relevant tertiary qualifications in education or a related field. Prior experience as a teacher is desirable but not essential. What is essential is a passion for working with indigenous students and a commitment to delivering high-quality educational programs.
