About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Community Programs Officer.

This role will involve working with the Coordinator Programs to develop, implement and deliver community-based programs, groups and activities. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to create innovative programs that build community capacity and facilitate connections.

The position requires developing and implementing flexible programs that foster engagement and inclusion of children, youth and families. You will also collaborate with local agencies and organisations to explore and implement partnerships that ensure services are inclusive of all members of the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering programs that promote social cohesion and community development;
  • Collaborating with local partners to enhance service delivery and increase community participation;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on program outcomes;
  • Providing exceptional customer service to Centre visitors and clients.

You will be an integral part of a dedicated team working towards a common goal of improving residents' quality of life. We are looking for someone who is passionate about community development, has excellent communication skills and is able to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in community development, project management and program implementation;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups;
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as community development, human services or education;
  • A strong understanding of the needs of children, youth and families in a multicultural environment.
