Job Overview

The role of a Governance Risk and Compliance Manager focuses on ensuring the organization's cloud infrastructure adheres to stringent security standards. This position plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity of cloud-based systems, processes, and data.

This individual must possess exceptional expertise in governance, risk management, and compliance. They will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to mitigate potential risks, ensuring seamless alignment with industry-recognized frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all matters related to cloud security assurance, providing guidance on adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to establish robust security baselines, identifying areas for improvement, and driving consistency across the organization.
  • Developing and executing comprehensive security plans, leveraging domain expertise to drive strategic decision-making and ensure compliance with relevant frameworks.
  • Implementing and maintaining ISM, PSPF, DSPF, ASIO T4, NIST, and other security compliance frameworks within cloud infrastructure design and build baselines.
  • Mentoring cross-functional working groups and projects aimed at enhancing security efficiency and effectiveness, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Publishing thought leadership material on cloud and emerging technologies, contributing to the organization's knowledge base and industry positioning.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in roles related to security assurance, such as cybersecurity, auditing, security architecture, or public sector agencies involved in cybersecurity management.
  • Proven track record of working with governance, risk, and compliance programs involving interaction with regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in government security frameworks, policies, and standards (e.g., PSPF, ISM, DSPF, ASD Essential Eight).
  • Experience working with cloud technologies.
