Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the hotel's conference and events offerings to potential clients, highlighting our unique features and services.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding services, including room and equipment hire, catering, and related event services, providing detailed information and quotes.
  • Meet with clients to assess their needs and present tailored package options, ensuring a seamless and successful event experience.
  • Coordinate and arrange event services such as conference facilities, catering, audiovisual equipment, accommodation, transport, and social events, ensuring all details are meticulously planned and executed.
  • Oversee participant registration and ensure the smooth execution of events, including setup, logistics, and follow-up.
  • Negotiate service types and costs within budget parameters, ensuring the client's needs are met while maintaining the hotel's profitability.
  • Organize and manage a variety of events, from conferences and corporate functions to weddings and social events, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to hotel operational policies and procedures, as well as Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) guidelines, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff.

Requirements:

  • Hold relevant event organisation qualifications and experience, with a proven track record of delivering successful events.
  • Ability to work under pressure within a large team, and as an individual, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of OH&S and food hygiene standards, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • A passion for sales and event organisation, with a commitment to wanting to succeed and advance your career.
  • Passion to provide a superior and welcoming customer service experience, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Australian National Police Clearance, no more than three months old, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and secure work environment.
