We are seeking a skilled Concierge to join our dynamic team at one of our beautiful Melbourne CBD offices.

About the Role:

This permanent part-time opportunity will see you working collaboratively within a team to deliver exceptional customer support and concierge services under the direction of the Concierge Team Leader.

Your key responsibilities will include welcoming library users, assisting with informational and directional inquiries, and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

You will also be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment by monitoring safety protocols, assessing security needs, and implementing necessary processes.

In addition, you will support facilities management and venue operations, including space and room bookings, while promoting sound safety practices to minimise incidents.

Requirements:

• A Certificate III in Security Operations or equivalent, and/or two years of relevant experience.
• A valid Victorian Private Security Licence, or willingness to obtain one.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong telephone manner and effective listening abilities, complemented by excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with internal and external customers.
• The ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment while de-escalating challenging situations using both verbal and nonverbal cues.
• Knowledge and experience working with Health and Safety, OHS and building management systems.
• An understanding of venue management, operations, and booking systems, as well as experience in security services or social/human services is desirable.
