Job Description

The Village Support Officer will be responsible for providing support to residents at Abervale Retirement Village, located in Grovedale, Victoria. This includes assisting with village events, serving meals and beverages, conducting welfare checks, and responding to resident enquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with colourful village events.
  • Serve meals and beverages.
  • Set up and clean after meal service.
  • Respond to resident enquiries.
  • Respond to call outs.
  • Undertake first aid.
  • Initiate emergency services where required.
  • Basic admin tasks.
  • Conduct welfare checks on residents.
  • Other tasks around the village as directed.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong customer service skills, a genuine interest in working with the elderly, and high motivation with the ability to take initiative in stressful situations.

Please Note

The successful applicant must complete a Police Check and will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October, with supporting documentation prior to joining.
