The Role:


The Credit Officer plays a vital role in the ownership of the Accounts Receivable function, maximising collection efficiency and minimising overdue/doubtful debts while maintaining a compassionate approach to our customers. Key responsibilities include:




  2. Contributing to the documentation and management of department procedures.
  3. Monitoring customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and irregularities, and resolving discrepancies.
  4. Debt collection of overdue invoices, including phone and email management.
  5. Managing the AR mailbox and processing credit card payments over the phone.
  6. Preparing and distributing account reconciliations as required.
  7. Responding to customer queries promptly and raising credit requests as necessary.
  8. Processing customer credits/claims in Oracle JD Edwards per company process.
  9. Requesting POD or invoice copies as required.
  10. Uploading payments daily and completing allocations on assigned ledgers.
  11. Processing vendor manual F&OB dockets.


Qualifications:


An accounting certificate or diploma, experience with JDE or SAP systems, and sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite are essential. 1-2 years of collections/accounts receivable experience is also required.
