Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our delivery team and play a key role in designing, securing, and optimising the cloud environment for GitHub Copilot Enterprise.

  • Design and build scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure (compute, networking, storage, monitoring) for GitHub Copilot Enterprise.
  • Integrate with identity management systems (Azure AD), security layers, and network boundaries.
  • Implement mandated controls and maintain compliance across the environment.
  • Configure High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and backup strategies.
  • Monitor infrastructure health using Azure Monitor, Sentinel, and related tooling.
  • Continuously optimise the environment for performance, resilience, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architects and security leads to align infrastructure with the overall design.
  • Support infrastructure readiness for development, testing, and go-live phases.
  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related incidents swiftly and thoroughly.

Requirements

You must have:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Cloud Engineer, preferably in government or secure environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud networking, firewalls, NSGs, and identity integration.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code automation tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator) and AZ-305 (Solutions Architect) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven history of delivering secure cloud-hosted enterprise solutions.
  • Baseline or NV1 security clearance (required).
  • Experience integrating SaaS platforms like GitHub Enterprise into cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (especially using Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of containerisation and cloud Kubernetes Service.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
