Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Trade Counter Assistant to join our team. As a key member of the Mt Barker branch, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our trade counter.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide top-notch service to plumbers and tradespeople. You will be responsible for assisting customers in accessing the products they need for building and renovation projects, as well as performing other tasks to ensure efficient branch operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing exceptional customer service and product information
  • Preparing quotes in person and over the phone
  • Picking, packing, and managing stock control
  • Maintaining a tidy and safe branch environment
  • Making occasional deliveries to customers using a company vehicle
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous retail sales or customer service experience
  • Able to pick orders, maintain shop displays, and ensure accurate information
  • Hold a valid driver's license (pre-hire checks will be conducted)
  • Open to working various shifts, including weekends
