Clinical Lead, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
\About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to provide expert clinical services, governance, and support to a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians for children and young people up to 18 years old presenting with symptoms of mental illness, and/or risk issues.
\Main Responsibilities- Lead high-level clinical leadership and consultancy skills, assessing and implementing evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and their families/carers experiencing high-acuity mental health issues.
- Develop and implement effective clinical governance frameworks to ensure standards of clinical practice are upheld.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Conduct regular quality assurance activities to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical services and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to relevant legislation and regulations.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, or Social Workers) and current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience in mental health services, with at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in the specialty field or current enrollment in an approved postgraduate course.
- Proven ability to think critically, problem-solve, and make timely, sound clinical decisions while working autonomously.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical leadership, supervision, and education of mental health clinicians from all disciplines.
- Knowledge of NSW mental health legislation, including the NSW Mental Health Act (2007), and relevant child protection regulations.
