We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Catering Attendant to work with us in Canberra.

As a Catering Attendant, you will play a pivotal role in preparing all elements required for an exceptional dining experience onboard flights. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Food handling, plating meals, and meal tray set up, ensuring presentation specifications are met using visual guides.
  • Stocking airline carts with dry store items, including equipment, packaged snacks, and beverages.
  • Loading and unloading wash lines, ensuring cutlery, crockery, and glassware are in pristine condition.
  • Compliance with food safety and HACCP guidelines, adhering to stringent hygiene standards and cleaning schedules.
  • Effective communication and coordination with team members to ensure timely delivery.

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • Sound numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to stand for prolonged periods and move/lift items safely.
  • A commitment to working 38 hours/week on a full-time permanent basis.
  • A neat and tidy presentation is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP is desirable but not essential.
  • Basic knife skills are also desirable but not essential.
  • A clear National Police Check as you will be working within the Aviation Services industry.
