Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Operations Supervisor to join our team at Careerone Partner Network. As a key member of our agricultural operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our crop harvest operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Harvest Planning and Execution: Develop and implement harvest plans to ensure timely and efficient harvesting of crops, taking into account factors such as crop maturity, weather conditions, and equipment availability.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of specialized harvest equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest quality of harvest throughout the harvest period, minimizing damage and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead and coordinate the work of farm operations staff, including shed managers, maintenance supervisors, and other team members, to ensure seamless execution of harvest operations.
  • Chemical Management and Application: Develop and implement chemical application plans to control pests, weeds, and diseases, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols.
  • Post-Harvest Program Implementation: Develop and implement post-harvest programs to minimize waste and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Emergency Response and Reporting: Develop and implement emergency response plans to address disease or pest outbreaks, and ensure timely reporting of issues to management.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least three years of experience in agricultural operations, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
  • Qualifications: Cert III or IV of Horticulture/Agriculture, Chemical Spray Accreditation, and High Risk Work Licence.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work unsupervised, and adapt to various work environments and schedules.
