Key Responsibilities
  • Harvest Planning and Execution: Develop and implement harvest plans to ensure timely and efficient harvesting of crops, while minimizing damage and waste.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all specialized harvest equipment is properly maintained and serviced to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that harvested crops meet the required standards, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of farm staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with farm managers, maintenance supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of farm operations.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all farm operations are conducted in accordance with health and safety protocols, and report any incidents or near-misses to management.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of farm operations, including harvest plans, equipment maintenance, and quality control measures.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least three years of experience in agricultural operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Qualifications: Cert III or IV of Horticulture/Agriculture, or equivalent qualification.
  • Accreditation: Chemical Spray Accreditation and High Risk Work Licence.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
