The role of a Digital Risk Manager is to assist clients in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management processes. This involves conducting audits, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with leading financial services clients across various sectors, including insurance, superannuation, and banking, providing a broad spectrum of experiences.
  • Utilise cutting-edge tools and artificial intelligence to assess and improve the adequacy, efficiency, and effectiveness of clients' operational processes, controls, activities, policies, and systems.
  • Tap into global networks to discover and implement solutions that address clients' most pressing challenges and support their paths to transformation.
  • Support lead on audit projects to ensure they meet agreed standards and timelines.
  • Research and analyse clients' needs to identify and assess potential issues within the regulatory framework.
  • Work with large datasets to uncover insights, drawing on experience in risk analytics and reporting.
  • Collaborate with wider teams on business development initiatives aimed at transforming risk functions.
  • Cochain and mentor junior team members, helping them develop specific skills and capabilities.
Requirements for Success
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in risk assessment frameworks, preferably within Financial Services, FinTech, or Consulting.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships and networks, as well as identifying business development opportunities.
  • Experience with Australian and/or international prudential supervision, regulatory reporting, RegTech, capital management, enterprise risk, and risk data management is important.
  • Good knowledge of third-party lifecycle management, including due diligence, risk assessments, monitoring, and offboarding.
  • Good experience on various due diligence methods (e.g., risk assessment / vendor security assessment, risk management and controls review, audits, gap analysis, regulatory compliance review)
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., CPS 230, EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing PRA Supervisory Statement - Outsourcing and Third Party Risk Management) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 22301).

This role will involve working with a range of technologies and tools, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
