We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead our Building and Construction team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing resources, leading a team of experienced personnel, managing sub-contractors, ensuring HSE standards, policies and processes are in place, identifying and developing high levels of compliance and quality assurance, overseeing plans and specifications, developing scopes of work, detailed cost estimates, budgets, contract bids, shop drawings and deliverable schedules relative to tender package, overseeing cost management, scheduling, profit and loss, labour management, invoice approval, billing, collections, inspections, close-outs and client relations.
- This role requires comprehensive understanding of contractual requirements and driving operational efficiencies.
- Able to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties.
- Highly motivated and client-focused.
- Minimum five years' experience as a Construction Manager is essential.
- Proven leadership skills are required.
- Strong knowledge and extensive experience in building & construction is necessary.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and analytical skills are required.
- Passionate about motivating and engaging others as you lead your team.
- Understand the requirements and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Computer literate with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
An Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management) is essential. Additionally, a QBCC Open Builders Licence is required, along with Business Management qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the business as it continues to expand, including management of major project delivery within Central Queensland.
- Closely manage projects to meet or exceed client expectations.
